Copenhagen: “I can’t even imagine what would happen if you tried to turn this square into a parking lot”

On Friday, I went to a meeting re: North Park Mobility Plan, and I suggested to the person to put in table-top aka raised crosswalks—kind of like speed bumps but flatter—for safer pedestrian crossings and slower car speeds on University Ave., but the guy said that traffic flow is important in the area—basically that slower speeds are undesirable, and that cars > people walking.
