Now this is a good idea. Love one of these near my house
(via London Cycling Campaign)

Would love one of these for my office.

As we say in Maine, that’s wicked smaht.

Some London streets are getting these. They should be standard!

what if the lid falls and hits you
what if kids play hide-and-seek and the kid hiding there gets locked inside
what if homeless people become no longer homeless by making that their new home
NEVER MIND
“For just £42 per year, plus a key deposit, individuals receive 24-hour access to secure cycle storage near their home.”
london homes can’t be that cramped, can they??! if nyc residents can somehow fit their bikes in their homes..
bike parking racks in california’s capital.
fave yarnbomb so far. in front of telegraph beer garden in oakland.
new bike corral in front of flora & fauna, diagonally across from the fox theatre!
installed yesterday! on the way home last night I saw it and was like Whaaaaat!!! great addition to uptown—the preexisting sidewalk bike racks get quite crowded weekend nights. (many bars in the area)

» Help the City of San Diego Install Bike Racks Where You Need Them

The city is about to purchase even more racks and place them in locations where you need them. If you are a business owner or a patron of a business that needs to be nudged a little to become more bike friendly, send in the details of where you’d like to see these bike parking facilities installed. The responses will be sent to and shared with the City’s Bike Coordinator, Tom Landre.

Tom wants you all to know that the City is planning on purchasing 100 of the bicycle shaped racks which have been used in bike corrals in Hillcrest and North Park as they are very popular. The racks will be lime green in color.

bikesd, 17.04.13.

share this with business owners and employees of places that you shop and dine at!

and remember—even if you don’t bike, more bike parking means others will bike, increasing your chances of finding a car parking spot!

bike parking at PDX!!! take that, SAN!!
and behind to the corner right of this is the “bike assembly area”, complete with bikestand, so you can put together your bike and cruise on out to town on the smooth bike path from the airport.
