some commentors said that the light changes to red before anyone can safely cross the street in time. i don’t recall and can’t confirm if this is
true. if it is (probably), typical san diego to not care about pedestrian safety. old-school traffic engineers. the lights actually do give enough time to cross the street safely. (thanks issiebear)
